Tension has continued to mount in Uganda ahead of the General Election slated for January 14 when Bobi Wine hopes to Succeed President Yoweri Museveni – Wine has been arrested severally and some of his supporters killed during campaign trails – On Wednesday, Wine claimed he had been arrested alongside his campaign team but police denied stating they only escorted him home – Wine has accused President Museveni of using state machinery to change the political landscape in his favour – Museveni has been campaigning both in-person and online to minimise the spread of COVID-19 but Wine has been synonymous with large rallies.
