Quest for Change: Will Credible Elections Transform the Democratic Republic of Congo?

Opposition leader Martin Fayulu insists that credible elections are crucial for change in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but he doubts their fairness due to President Felix Tshisekedi’s influence over government institutions. Fayulu believes that transparent elections could lead to the rule of law, national unity, and progress in areas like healthcare and education. Despite controversy in the 2018 election, Fayulu is expected to run again, alongside Moïse Katumbi, despite challenges like security issues and government crackdowns on opposition leaders. Fayulu is concerned about the lack of impartiality in the electoral commission, which he believes benefits Tshisekedi.
